SensorPod™ Network

The SensorPod™ Network is a self-contained environmental monitoring system that communicates vital information from anywhere in the world directly to government agencies for data distribution with other data products. Because the SensorPod Network is completely self-reliant (wireless and solar powered), it operates independent of any local infrastructure and continues to perform when existing infrastructure has been damaged or compromised.

The SensorPod Network utilizes a web of lightweight miniaturized SensorPod Sensor units that automatically transmit real-time environmental data to a Satellite Communication Pod (SatPod™). Each SensorPod Unit in the network contains a GPS receiver and a 900 MHz radio modem for communication with any SatPod within a 3-mile line-of-sight range. Each SatPod supports up to 10 SensorPod Modules.

The SatPod transmits received data via an Iridium Satellite to any Internet accessible computer and/or DOD agency. Mission Control Software installed on a PC receives and converts data to user format and allows users to command the SensorPod Network system. Within minutes, military personnel worldwide have access to accurate environmental information when and where it is needed.

In situations where wireless satellite communication is not a priority, data may be transmitted directly to a PC in the field using ADSS’s PodCommander™ software. Any SensorPod Sensor unit can also be connected to a PC via a cable connection.

The SensorPod Network is an extremely cost-efficient and reliable method of gathering critical information related to the environment.
