Real-Time GIS Command and Control Center
Created by ADSS, PodCommander Software runs on any windows based computer and is the primary software on the MFC (mobile field contro A geographic information system (GIS) is a system for capturing, storing, analyzing and managing data and associated attributes which are spatially referenced to the earth. The ADSS GIS Command and Control Center is a software package that significantly enhances the display, management, and data collection of the PodCommander™ Software. Unlike the PodCommander Software, the GIS Command and Control Center also enables the integration of command and control assets, data, and networks outside of the SensorPod™ Network for complete integration of a user’s Common Operating Picture (COP).
The Real-time GIS center displays all sensors in the SensorPod Network, and can also incorporate data and sensor information for any command and control assets independent of the SensorPod Network. The GIS center displays the location and status of all command and control assets on a topographical map, allowing for complete management of all information systems through one interface (shown below). The status of each sensor and network connection is presented using a traffic-light system, with green signifying an operational status, yellow indicating a potential problem or maintenance need, and red denoting a serious problem or failure. The GIS center allows for interaction with any command and control asset, such as network connections and sensors, simply by clicking on the object of interest. The program offers full diagnostic and command history, as well as the ability to command any aspect of all networks with the click of a mouse.
